Credits & licensing

Longwave plays two kinds of audio. The recorded music is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), which permits commercial use, redistribution and public streaming, provided the composer is credited — which is what this page is for.

The Noise, Endless and Nature channels are not recordings at all. They are synthesised in your browser as you listen, from nothing but a seed, and are released into the public domain under CC0 1.0. Nobody needs crediting for them, and no two sessions produce the same piece.

We host and serve the audio ourselves rather than embedding a third-party player, so nothing here depends on another platform's API terms.

Kevin MacLeod — incompetech.com. Kevin has released a very large catalogue under CC BY and explicitly permits its use on monetised and streaming sites. If you enjoy the music here, his site is worth your time.
